Day 6 - The Chicago Sky deck

Today, we were originally supposed to go to the Hancock Observatory as planned with our itinerary. Unfortunately when we arrived, we were unable to go in because they had an event. Instead of just claiming defeat and returning home and wasting the day Mr. Oniyide and Mr. Ayansola found us somewhere else to go - The Sky Deck.

The Chicago Sky deck is the worlds tallest structural building. It took just three years to finish up the building.

Willis Tower (formerly named and still commonly referred to as Sears Tower) is a 110-story, 1,451-foot (442 m) skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois.  We only got to the 103rd floor because thats where the observation deck was. The elevators within the building are among some of the fastest in the world, operating as fast as 1,600 feet per minute.

Willis Tower is the second-tallest building in the United State sand the eighth-tallest freestanding structure in the world.

From the Observation deck on the 103rd floor, we got to see the rest of Chicago.

Some of us who weren't so afraid went on the Ledge, 4 glass boxes that extend 4.3 feet outside the Tower and stand 1,353 feet above Wacker Drive. With glass on the ceiling, floor, and all sides, it was truly, an unforgettable experience.
